Cambodia is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, specifically her richness in culture, art and musical tradition. Dating back to the 60’s and the early 70’s, both were the golden era of Cambodian music, which were heavily influenced by the sounds of rock’n’roll from the Western. Cambodian music, specifically rock emerged as a unique sound mixing various rock styles and Cambodian traditional melodies. There are the most famous and iconic figures like Sin Sisamouth, Ros Sereysothea, Pen Ron, Huoy Meas, Meas Hokseng, and many more. However, most of them were killed during the unprecedented event of the Khmer Rouge regime.
