What to expect

O’Russey Kandal is a community-based ecotourism site about 28 km south of Stung Treng town on National Road 7. Visitors can swim at several stream sites, trek through community forest, watch birds and other wildlife, picnic, cycle and learn about local culture and food.

Established in 2007 with support from Mlup Baitong, the site offers homestays, local guides, meals and bicycle rental. Published reference prices list foreign entry at US$1, homestay at US$2.50 per night, breakfast at US$1.50, lunch or dinner at US$3, bicycle rental at US$1 per day and a local guide at US$3 per outing. Confirm current services before visiting.
