What to expect
Paddle a calm, guide-selected Mekong route near Kratie or its islands during the cooler late afternoon.
River levels, currents and boat traffic change seasonally. Wear a life jacket, remain with the guide and avoid dolphin protection zones unless the operator is specifically authorised.
Conditions, opening hours, transport and fees can change. Confirm locally before travelling, dress respectfully at religious sites, follow marked routes and ask permission before photographing people.
