What to expect
Prepare for the temples of Angkor with a museum journey through the rise and achievements of Khmer civilization. Eight galleries combine original artifacts and multimedia interpretation, covering religion, royal history, Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, stone inscriptions, and ancient costume.
A signature gallery brings together 1,000 Buddha images, while other sections explore Hindu and Buddhist beliefs, the great Khmer kings, Apsara imagery, and stories preserved in stone. Orientation films and rentable audio guides help place the collection in context.
The museum is open daily. Official seasonal hours are 08:30–18:00 from April through September and 08:30–18:30 from October through March; last entry may be earlier. Phone photography without flash is permitted. Check the booking channel for current ticket availability and child rates.
