Phnom Penh’s first Nokor Sankranta drew residents and visitors to six days of traditional performances, cultural displays, local products and Khmer New Year activities.

What to expect
Nokor Sankranta 2026 ran from 14 to 19 April across major Phnom Penh locations, including Wat Phnom, Chaktomuk Walk Street, Vattanac Capital, the Night Market, Wat Botum Park, Bassac Lane and Tuol Tompoung Market.
The first edition transformed the capital for Khmer New Year with traditional dance, art performances, star-lantern displays, local products and cultural activities designed to preserve national traditions and support tourism and the local economy.
