Bon Da Lien, also known in some communities as a village festival, is observed after the rice harvest. It is not a single centralized event: villages arrange their own ceremonies and gatherings according to local harvest schedules.
The celebration traditionally gives thanks for the harvest and strengthens community ties. Activities may include inviting Buddhist monks for blessings, sharing food, music, dancing and other local customs. Visitors should ask locally before travelling because dates, venues and programs differ between communities.
