What to expect

29 November 2026 marks the fourth anniversary of Kun Lbokator’s inscription on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. UNESCO approved Cambodia’s nomination on 29 November 2022 during the committee’s 17th session in Rabat, Morocco.

Kun Lbokator combines unarmed techniques with weapons including staffs, swords, spears and shields. Its seven Krama levels progress from white to gold, with advanced practitioners mastering hundreds of movements. The martial art remains active across 13 Cambodian provinces. No separate national public programme has been announced for this anniversary.
