14 December 2026 marks the 34th anniversary of Angkor’s inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The 401-square-kilometre property includes the Angkor, Roluos and Banteay Srei areas in Siem Reap province.

Angkor preserves the remains of successive capitals of the Khmer Empire, including temples, inscriptions, water-management systems, roads and urban landscapes that demonstrate the civilisation’s exceptional artistic and technical achievements.
